Craig Sibbald has given Dundee United a major boost by agreeing a new deal for their Premiership return. United’s player and players’ player of the year winner will sign an extension this week that will keep him at Tannadice for the next two seasons. The 28-year-old’s contract was out at the end of this month although Sibbald has triggered an extension, after a certain number of games. Matthew Cudjoe is also out of contract but United would be entitled to training compensation if he moves on. Goodwin is also set to make several additions to his squad with a goalkeeper and left-back amongst his top targets.
