I’ve gone back and forth on the Cowboys defensive coordinator search more times than I can count, and I keep circling back to Daronte Jones. Daronte Jones coaches the defensive backs and helps shape the passing-game plan, and that influence shows up every week. Each of these coaches have experience as a defensive coordinator at the college level, but Daronte Jones has a larger body of work. Daronte Jones may have a few more skins on the wall and that experience may be better suited as a defensive coordinator. From where I’m sitting, Daronte Jones may be the leader for the defensive coordinator position with the Dallas Cowboys.
