Starting on Tuesday, March 30, all New Yorkers aged 30 and older will be able to schedule appointments for vaccinations, lowering the age threshold from age 50 and older. The state will join dozens of others expanding eligibility for vaccination against COVID-19 to more Americans as the vaccine stockpile grows. New York is lowering its coronavirus vaccine eligibility to adults aged 30 and older and will allow everyone aged 16 and older to be vaccinated staring April 6. New York was among the last states to announce it make young adults without specific risk factors eligible. A total of 10 states will expand eligibility to all adults this week - a step New York will take next Tuesday.
