According to DGHS, they initially find some six such hospitals – Bangladesh Railway Hospital at Kamalapur, Mahanagar General Hospital at Nayabazar, Mirpur Maternity Hospital, Kamrangirchar 31-bed Hospital, Aminbazar 20-bed Hospital and Jinjira 20-bed Hospital. Later, as Sajida Foundation volunteered their 50-bed hospital in Jatrabari, the number of such hospitals rose to seven, DGHS confirmed. Earlier, three hospitals in the city were providing the treatment. While visiting the areas, it was found that Mirpur maternity was yet to start rendering services while the others had very less patients in a day. Once the beds of these hospitals are full, the medical college hospitals have to take the patients in for treatment, the director added.
