The Mattina container ship has been given permission to leave New Zealand on Thursday. Almost a month after it arrived in Bluff, the MS Mattina has been cleared to leave New Zealand. The ship arrived at South Port, in Bluff, on July 18 and was scheduled to leave on July 20. A Ministry of Health spokesperson said the crew was officially cleared on Wednesday morning after the ship was deep cleaned under Southern DHB infection, prevention, and control advice and guidance.
