The country recorded eight cases on Tuesday and three on Wednesday, when the state of emergency was issued. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed declared the state of emergency to stop the spread of Covid-19 disease in the east African country. “Considering the gravity of the Covbid-19, the government of Ethiopia has enacted a state of Emergency,” the Prime Minister’s office said in the official communication.
