There are 62 people in hospital with Covid-19 and 80 new community cases in the Delta outbreak. Of those in hospital in Auckland, 34 cases (62 per cent) are unvaccinated or not eligible. One is linked to a previously reported case, while the others are still being investigated. There is also one new case in Taupō (in Lakes DHB) – linked to a previously reported case. The ministry has not advised how many of the cases reported on Tuesday were linked or unlinked.
