The books were published under a project of Room to Read, a non-profit organization. The endeavour was funded by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and received assistance from World Food Programme (WFP). Acting secretary to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal attended the event as chief guest. There is an acute lack of creativity inspiring children’s books in Bangladesh, and they are addressing the issue.
