A Dhaka court has directed the authorities of old Dhaka Central Jail to provide first class division to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia as per the jail code. On Saturday, five lawyers – Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Barrister Khandker Mahbub Hossain, Md Ali and Barrister Abdur Razzak – met the BNP chief inside the old jail. Also Read – Moudud: Khaleda did not get divisionAfter meeting Khaleda, BNP leader Barrister Moudud Ahmed told reporters that the BNP chief had not been given division at the Old Central Jail in Dhaka. On Thursday, the same court convicted Khaleda in the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case and sentenced her to five years’ imprisonment. Later, the administration building of the old jail on Nazimuddin Road was declared a sub-jail to accommodate the BNP chief.
