Court orders police to release blogger in Nkaissery insult case

A Nakuru court has ordered CID officers to release a blogger arrested at the weekend for allegedly posting offensive messages against Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery. The blogger said Nkaissery of misusing position intimidate the Maasai community even after being given chance by his people to be what he has now. On the post, Saruni accused Nkaissery of betraying the Maasai community by trying to impress senior Jubilee leaders who are from another tribe. Chief magistrate Wilbroda Juma ordered the officers to release Jackson Saruni Tirkolo, 28, on police bond after he opposed a plea by the prosecution to have him detained for five more days. Juma said the evidence in court does not warrant him to be held for more days for the investigations to be completed.
