Court orders lawyers to produce man accused of threatening customs officer


The directive follows Roland’s failure to appear in court despite being duly served with summons. The court described his absence at the previous sitting as unacceptable and instructed his lawyers to take responsibility for ensuring his presence on the next adjourned date. Roland is accused of obstructing Revenue Officer Torgbe Agbeti Dordoe of the Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) while the officer conducted a lawful search of his luggage. According to Officer Torgbe’s formal complaint, Roland resisted the clearance process and issued serious threats against his life. He stated, “During the clearance process, passenger Wise Roland Horgli threatened my life by stating that he would use Nima Boys to attack me outside my workplace.
