A Comilla court has ordered the arrest of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and 45 other leaders and activists of her party in a case filed over the 2015 arson attack on a bus in Chouddagram upazila. District and Sessions Judge Jesmin Ara Begum issued the order after accepting the chargesheet in the case on Monday. Earlier in the day, Sub-Inspector Mohammad Ibrahim, the case’s investigation officer, submitted the chargesheet against 78 people, including Khaleda. Two separate cases — one under the Explosive Substances Act and another for murder — were filed against 56 people, including Khaleda. The BNP chief and five top leaders of her party were accused in the cases for giving orders.
