Share TweetBy Jeffrey DamicogThe Court of Appeals (CA) has upheld its decision directing the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) to issue a license for the construction of a casino-hotel in Parañaque City. The CA’s former sixth division has issued a resolution which junked PAGCOR’s motion for reconsideration which sought to reverse the appellate court’s October ruling. The appellate court pointed out that PAGCOR has to grant the license considering Waterfront Philippines complied with all the requirements including a $100-million cash deposit.. It noted that PAGCOR had already acted quickly on similar applications of Resorts World Manila, City of Dreams, Solaire Resort and Casino, and Okada Manila.
