MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court is set to release the results of the 2018 Bar exams, the 117th held in the Philippines, on May 3, the SC Public Information Office announced Wednesday. In an advisory, the SC PIO said that the Associate Justice Mariano del Castillo, chairperson of the Bar exams committee, would announce the results at the SC front yard in Padre Faura St. Manila. The justices will hold a special en banc session on May 3 to deliberate on the Bar exam results. Most examinees so farFrom the 8,701 law graduates that were initially allowed to take the Bar, only 8,155—the highest so far in the history of Bar exams, the SC PIO noted— finished the four-day gruelling exam on November 2018. For the next Bar exams, the SC would be adopting a two-examiner per subject policy, upon the recommendation of Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernaabe who will head the 2019 Bar committee.
