LAHORE: An accountability court on Thursday extended judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Aleem Khan till April 20. On March 19, the former senior minister of Punjab, Aleem Khan, had filed bail petition in Lahore High Court (LHC) through his counsel Adnan Shujaa Butt. According to the petition, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Aleem Khan over the charges of his offshore companies and assets beyond known sources of income. The NAB has failed to prove any allegations against him, Aleem Khan said in his petition and pleaded to the court to order his release on bail. The senior politician had been handed over to the NAB on 14-day judicial remand by the accountability court again on March 18 after approving another extension.
