An indifferent reply at contempt proceedings got the Tonk district collector caught up at the Jaipur bench of Rajasthan high court. Displeased with the response of the senior administrator, the court ordered him to remain seated in the court throughout the day. Tonk collector Sube Singh Yadav had appeared before the court on Friday in response to a contempt case. Despite previous orders of the court, the Tonk district administration had not removed encroachments from Palai panchayat area. The court had ordered the district administration to comply with the petitioner’s request or explain its limitation in a 15-day period.
