A voter has moved to court to challenge the appointment of three politicians to the proposed IEBC joint parliamentary select committee . Among the members are Kuria, Senators Beatrice Elachi (Nominated) and Kipchumba Murkomen (Elgeyo Marakwet) and Taveta MP Naomi Shaban. The politicians are MPs Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) and Junet Mohammed (Suna East), and Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama. Meru Senator Kiraitu Murungi is Jubilee's team leader and co-chair of the select committee. Muthama said he had asked his lawyers to demand that their names be expunged from the criminal records.
