Marquez as Supreme Court (SC) spokesperson and in charge of the court’s public information office (PIO) in current capacity. He was the PIO chief during the time of the late Chief Justice Renato Corona and former Chief Justice Reynato Puno. He was promoted court administrator through whose office the SC exercises administrative supervision over all lower courts in the country. The designation of Marquez was announced by Chief Justice Bersamin during yesterday’s traditional Christmas lunch with journalists covering the SC.
