A county government official who hails from Gatundu North constituency has lamented over the sidelining of the area in major development projects. He asked the government to consider initiating more development in Gatundu North, which has seemingly been alienated. Dominic Gicheru, head of Public Service and administration in Kiambu County said much more development is concentrated in neighbouring Gatundu South sub-county. “When it comes to National Youth Service programme, Gatundu North has had none, government offices are in Gatundu South, bad roads, lack of power connectivity have made this area lag behind,” he said. Gicheru, while speaking in Gatundu North on Friday said that the constituency has lagged behind in key infrastructural projects such as roads, building of government offices, and power connectivity among others.
