Country music trio Dixie Chicks has changed their name. The group made up of Natalie Maines, Martie Erwin Maguire, and Emily Strayer, also changed their name on Instagram and Facebook. In early July, fellow country band Lady Antebellum announced on social media that it changed its name to Lady A. But they said in recent weeks, their eyes have been opened to “blindspots we didn't even know existed" and "the injustices, inequality and biases black women and men have always faced."
