Imagine being restricted to eating and drinking on only $2.85 a day – less than the price of a McDonald's cheeseburger. Well that is the the New Zealand equivalent of the international poverty line, and a sum millions of people live on. To help raise funds for needy people, hundreds of Kiwis are living below the line this week.
