Sunday's coronavirus death toll was up 17% on Saturday's number - which was up 34% on Friday's figures. This morning Cabinet office minister Michael Gove said the Government is doing everything it can to observe official coronavirus guidance. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Health Secretary Matt Hancock have tested positive for the virus and Scottish Secretary Alister Jack developing mild symptoms. The prime minister sat next to Mr Jack as he took Scottish questions at the despatch box in the Commons on Wednesday. Mr Gove said that he and the prime minister have been using video technology to chair official meetings.
