Some viewers watching the 6pm bulletin concluded she had got off work by claiming to have coronavirus - and had been 'caught red-handed' by the camera crew. However, a woman claiming to be the panicked shopper has now offered her side of the story. The Tik Tok user @sassy.b posted a video in which she pulled faces in reaction to the claims. In response to the claim that she took seven days off work to 'self isolate', she said: "That’s not what happened but these memes are jokes." One Twitter user who shared the original video of the shopper wrote: "When you’ve phoned the office to tell them you’ve got to self-isolate and then get caught red-handed on the news."
