Chief executive Richard Beddie said over level 2 and level 1 most gyms recovered to almost 80 per cent of their pre-Covid revenue, but this time things would be different. Most Auckland gyms suspended their membership payments during level 3, Beddie said. But Beddie said level 3 restrictions could be the “final nail in the coffin” for those Auckland gyms that had been struggling before the lockdown.
