Immigration Minister Kris Faafoi has confirmed partnership visa processing for non-visa-waiver countries will resume on Wednesday, potentially reuniting thousands of families separated by Covid-19 border restrictions. RNZ Immigration New Zealand has relaxed border regulations for resident visa holders who are stuck overseas. “I can say with confidence that the processing of partnership visas for non-visa-waiver countries will begin again this week. On Tuesday, a representative from Faafoi’s office confirmed that partnership visa processing will begin again on Wednesday. On Saturday, Stuff reported Immigration New Zealand (INZ) was “considering options” for the resumption of partnership visa processing irrespective of their country of origin.
