Confirming the matter, KMCH Principal Dr Abdul Ahad said the doctor reported fever and throat ache earlier. At least six other physicians of the rest house were also directed to stay there until further instruction, he added. A total of 50 samples were tested on Saturday at the KMCH laboratory; among them, only the assistant professor’s sample tested positive. On April 13, a sexagenarian man, who returned after attending a Tablighi congregation, tested positive for coronavirus in the city's Karimnagar area.
