Arlette and Jeremy Garcia were about to turn in for the night on Thursday when one of their children saw a news alert about the introduction of quarantine for Britons returning from France after 4am tomorrow. The couple, who are both 47 and have three sons aged 12, 14 and 16, have been holidaying in the French Alps with another British family. They have been staying in a self-catering chalet in the ski resort of Montchavin.
