Youth tour company Contiki has suspended tours to Europe, the Middle East and Asia amid the widespread coronavirus pandemic. On its website, Contiki said the decision had been made based on guidance from the World Health Organisation (WHO). SUPPLIED Contiki is deferring trips to Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Asia, including India and Sri Lanka. According to the latest situation report released by the WHO there are 22,901 confirmed Covid-19 cases across Europe, 9885 in the Middle East, and 191 in south-east Asia. Yesterday, New Zealand's travel industry was sent into a tailspin after United States President Donald Trump abruptly announced suspension of all travel between Europe and the US.
