Government banned all protests after Monday's Cord demonstrations turned chaotic leading to deaths, torching of two vehicles, looting of supermarkets and injuries on 50 people including policemen. Cord has rejected the Jubilee offer of dialogue on the matter of the IEBC commissioners and vowed to press on with the weekly demos. Co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula said the protest will continue despite three days of talks with the government. From our standpoint we believe that 70 per cent of the sticking points have been agreed upon including the size of the committee, the independence of the committee, timelines and the subject matter," Kalonzo said. The talks and dialogue will be as good as they start as when they end," Kalonzo said.
