KOTA KINABALU: A group of opposition party supporters are wanted by Beaufort district police for allegedly assembling illegally on Saturday (March 24). Beaufort police chief DSP Azmir Abd Razak said following the 9.15am incident, a man believed to be the leader of the group was brought in for questioning. "The supporters were urging drivers passing by to honk their vehicles to show support during the incident at Kg Bingkul Beaufort. "They however left peacefully when policemen arrived to stop their activities," DSP Azmir said in a statement late . He said police were still tracking down the others believed to be involved in the event to assist investigations.
