GEORGE TOWN: Penang police have arrested a man and seized 6.98kg of methamphetamine (syabu) from his rented condominium in Pulau Tikus. Penang Police Chief Comm Datuk Wira Chuah Ghee Lye said police recovered the crystallised syabu packed in tea leaves. Comm Chuah said police also seized jewellery, cash, luxury watch, three motorcycles and a car from the unit. "We have also frozen five bank accounts belonging to the 43-year-old suspect after the raid," he added. He said the suspect, who tested positive for methamphetamine, is being remanded until Monday (Oct 23) pending investigation under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
