It was understood that the car was running in the opposite direction when traveling on Fung Wan Road in Tai Po. There was another female officer onboard the vehicle at the time, and other police officers soon arrived at the scene to investigate the incident. Au was later sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital in Tai Po in a conscious state. Police said the incident occurred around 1.07 pm on Wednesday when the police car reached an intersection and made a right turn into Fung Wan Road. Police added the case is now handled by the New Territories North traffic headquarters and the involved officer has been suspended from all driving duties.
