While some colleagues of the market leaders alleged that the arrest was due to their opposition to the proposed demolition and reconstruction of the market by the Agbado/Oke Odo Local Council Development Area, the council authorities denied having a hand in their ordeal. “Last Friday, they brought policemen from Abuja, who came with a list of market leaders whom they said they wanted to arrest for the death of Adara.
