WASHINGTON—A White House contract employee wanted on an attempted first-degree murder charge was arrested Tuesday as he came to work at the tightly regulated presidential compound, according to law-enforcement officials. Martese Edwards, 29 years old, was expected to face extradition to Maryland, the officials said. It couldn’t be immediately determined if he had a lawyer.
