In a nation of lies, Ovsyannikova wanted to give the truth back to the people. Sarah Palin recently discovered just how difficult a bar this is to clear, particularly for a public official. Now, these aggrieved parties and others are suing, saying conservative media are scheming to produce calculated falsehoods, i.e., lies, that will drive ratings and, ultimately, ad revenue. To regain normalcy and togetherness, we have to stop the lying, but we can’t stop the lying until it is no longer profitable to do so. It may not stop the fibbers, but it will at least make them think.
