OTTAWA — On the first day of the new parliamentary session, the Conservatives wasted no time accusing two Liberal ministers of being in contempt of parliament for saying they hadn’t rented limousines while exercising official duties. He listed definitions from three different dictionaries to explain why it’s “crystal clear to the opposition, the media and the public” that the ministers used limos. “While the minister has addressed her expenses related to travel, we cannot confuse that with the accuracy of the response tabled. Furthermore, a disagreement over the content of the response is merely that, a disagreement over the facts,” Lamoureux said. He said this had more to do with an omission of the facts needed to assess the response.
