SUPPLIED Hamilton City Council has released a video showing concept designs of the new Waikato River bridge between Cobham Dr and the Peacocke Development. * Hamilton Ring Road's multimillion-dollar final link revealedThe new bridge will be built near Cobham Drive, upstream from the Hamilton Gardens, and connect to the new Peacocke Development on the south bank. Included in the concept video is an unplanned walking and cycling overbridge linking to Hamilton Gardens, the river path and the Cobham Dr interchange. Beneath the bridge, on the south side, is an area Mayor Andrew King called "probably the best beach in the Hamilton". Council secured a $290m Housing Infrastructure Fund from the government, interest free for 10-years at a value of $180.3m, for the Peacocke development.
