The Social Security Commission (SSC) has dismissed an administrative complaint filed by its former commissioner against four Social Security System executives, documents showed. The four were sacked from their posts with Candelaria and Ongkeko stepping down shortly after. In February, La Viña was sacked from his post for alleged corruption. Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. has said that a reason why La Viña was sacked was that he conducted a “vilification campaign” against the four SSS officials. A little over two months after his SSS stint, La Viña was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as undersecretary of the Department of Tourism (DoT).
