The Dunedin father of a man killed in a crash in the Maniototo over the weekend has thanked the local community for their support. Christchurch man Guy Devereux (52) died following a crash on Danseys Pass Rd, Kyeburn Diggings near the Danseys Pass Coach Inn early Sunday morning. He confirmed the Naseby Volunteer Fire Brigade were first on the scene and said their actions had been "absolutely wonderful''. Guy Devereux is survived by his partner Bex, three daughters and six grandchildren. His family have asked for donations to the Naseby Volunteer Fire Brigade, in lieu of flowers.
