The panellists will seek to explore the past, present, and future of the freedom of religion or belief in Sri Lanka. Saroor will be focusing on the Muslim community, “particularly on the Islamophobia and anti-Muslim sentiments in the country and the challenges the Muslim community faces right now”. She explained that Covid-19 has also paved way for the majoritarian community to hate on the Muslim community. “To date, the Muslim community has not got over it.
