Share TweetBy Leslie Ann AquinoAkbayan Party chairperson emeritus Etta Rosales, together with different groups, on Friday asked the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to conduct special random manual audit for the partylist votes in the May 2019 polls. They added that partylist representatives should be subject to the same process of verification, saying proclaimed nominees are members of the House of Representatives, co-equal with district representatives whose votes are subject to RMA. Aside from the special RMA, Rosales and concerned groups also asked the poll body to permit representatives from partylist groups to observe the special RMA process for partylist votes. RMA is a procedure required by law to audit the accuracy of VCMs.
