The Toronto run of the Toronto-created Broadway hit Come From Away will extend into 2019, Mirvish Productions announced Monday. The Toronto production of the play created by Irene Sankoff and David Hein premiered at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in February, and was initially slated to close in September. But it’s been extended before and now, Mirvish says, it’s adding 12 more weeks of shows, from Oct. 23 to Jan. 20. The director of the ongoing Broadway run, Christopher Ashley, won a Tony Award for his efforts in 2017. This new block of tickets will go on sale Monday May 7, 2018.
