Three separate collisions involving a total of eight cars and one motorcycle clogged QEW traffic on the Burlington Skyway for nearly an hour on Sunday afternoon. Two left lanes and the shoulder were blocked on lower side of the bridge moving eastbound to Toronto. Six paramedic units from Halton and Hamilton regions assessed patients at the scene. Most of the injuries were minor except for the motorcyclist, who was sent to a local hospital in serious but non-life-threatening condition, said Craig McCleary of Hamilton Paramedic Service. Kerry Schmidt warned drivers to expect delays, and advised them to take alternate routes.
