They were held at 1,654 centres across the districtCollector S.A. Raman inspected the second phase of special camps held for inclusion, deletion and modification in the electoral roll on Sunday. The camp was held in a total of 1,654 centres across the district. Arrangements had been made to enable persons, who would complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2017, to register in the voters’ list, according to a press release. The Collector inspected the centres at the Corporation Primary School at Konavattam, Government Higher Secondary School, Konavattam and Government Adi Dravidar Welfare Primary School at Perumugai. He advised the staff at the camps to register the names of eligible voters immediately.
