In an interview with the Accra based Kasapa FM, Kwasi Appiah argued that the passion that Kotoko fans use to support their club is more intense than that of the Black Stars and their aggressive nature can be difficult for every coach to handle, especially when positive results are not coming. "Coaching Kotoko is very difficult, I will say it's even difficult than the Black Stars. The supporters of the club are very passionate and so whether you are a coach or a player they expect you to live up to expectations."
