Former Waikato club rugby player Jacob Nield has received a four-year ban for steroid use. Nield, 22, made an early guilty plea to possession and use of the banned drug Clenbuterol. The loose forward was playing for the Te Awamutu Sports club at the time of the offending and didn't contest the charges at a New Zealand Rugby judicial committee hearing earlier this month. Last month another former Waikato club player, Glen Robertson, former Black Ferns women's international Zoey Berry, Manawatu club player Rhys Pedersen and Otago club player Ben Qauquad-Dodds also had bans of varying lengths announced.
