"Government college students will now have a chance to go out of the country and study for a few months, like the private college students. The college would start functioning this year.Similarly, an arts and science college would be set up at Perumbakkam in Kancheepuram district at a cost of Rs 8.48 crore. This college would also start functioning this year, said Jayalalithaa.Two open university centres would be set up in the Niligiri and Villupuram districts.
