Two MP losers are among seven candidates who want to be the speaker of the Garissa county assembly. Issues of clan are likely to play out in the open as the race for the coveted seat intensifies. Atop the list is outgoing Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden, who lost to Jubilee candidate Omar Shurie. Speaking to the Star on the phone yesterday, Aden — the ODM organising secretary — said he is in the race. Others are the immediate former speaker Mohamed Abbey, Ahmed Nadir, Dagane Karur, Issa Mohamed and Mohamed Arale.
