Retailer Claire’s Stores Inc. said Chief Executive Ron Marshall earned 1,005 times as much as the teen accessories chain’s median employee in fiscal 2017, according to a regulatory filing. Claire’s, a shopping-mall fixture known for its ear-piercing service, disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing that Mr. Marshall received $2.7 million in total compensation for the year ended Feb. 3.
