City landscape to become backdrop to nature film festival

A film festival dedicated to highlighting issues involving nature and the environment is returning for the 14th time to Manawatū. The Reel Earth Environmental Film Festival begins in Palmerston North on May 24 and will showcase international and local films at venues around the city. Ferguson said the festival was an "extraordinary gift to the city" and that through the years, the premise of the festival had always been about changing attitudes through film. It is the third year that the festival has been supported by the Palmerston North City Environmental Trust.
